Workshop “Tradinovation – Facing Rurality”

We held a student workshop in Sirogojno within the project "7 houses, 7 villages, 7 stories".

During October 2014, the Open-air museum “Old Village” Sirogojno and our EAT organization in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade held a successful student workshop “Tradinovation – Facing Rurality” within the project “7 houses, 7 villages, 7 stories”.
The Museum hosted 15 master students from Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. For four days they have discussed different topics such as faces and visions of rurality; rural-urban relations; contemporary interpretation of traditional architecture; elements of ecological architecture; architecture representation etc. Through small design projects, students presented their own visions and interpretations of the term rurality.
Workshop products were published in a catalog, while the whole project “7 houses, 7 villages, 7 stories: TRADINOVATION – FACING RURALITY” was presented at the conference ” Re-Imagining Rurality” in London in 2015.
